The Snorks (1984-88) was a Hannah Barbara cartoon about a race of little underwater “people”. They were pretty much Smurfs with a snorkle on their head. Still a really good show. If you werea kid in the 80’s, you prolly watched The Snorks and loved it.

speaking of Alf…
Rubik’s Cube.
While this frustrating little puzzle was invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor Ernő Rubik, it did not hit U.S. shelves until 1980 when he licensed it to Ideal Toy Corporation for mass production. Just in time to become a pop icon of the ’80s.
ALF! Alf was a fuzzy little alien who came into our homes in 1986. His real name was Gordon Shumway from the planet Melmac. He crash landed his space ship into the Tanner family’s garage. They were nice enough to hide him from the Alien Task Force for four years while he fixed his ship. His heart is in his head and he has 8 stomaches. Probably helps to digest his favorite meal, cats. Despite his boyish looks, Alf is over 250 years old. Sadly, NBC decided the 90s were not ready for Alf, and canceled the show in 1990. In addition to his hit t.v. show, Alf aslo starring in his own Saturday morning cartoon, Alf: The Animated Series (1987-88), a made for t.v. movie (1996), his own talk show (2004), and was a regular on the game show Hollywood Squares.
